Hi! I am Rachel
I have an infectiously genuine, strengths-based approach to interacting with others.
With a background in working in a medical setting and an interest in health and fitness, I believe in healing human beings, not just human bodies.
I believe slowing down to focus on the mind-body connection is an important aspect of well-rounded, holistic health. This has been central in my work with individuals with traumatic brain injuries and medical conditions as well as at-risk children, adolescents, and families.
I hold my master’s degree in clinical psychology and am finishing my doctoral degree. Throughout my experiences, I have worked with individuals, families, and kids in some of the most challenging situations to overcome some of the most challenging times in their lives. As a strengths-based coach, I focus on helping you understand the patterns of challenges in your life, and we focus on building your resiliency skills for breaking unhelpful habits and replacing them with helpful lifestyle changes.
My superpower is finding potential in the hidden and overlooked places when you cannot see it in yourself and then empowering you to take back control of your life.
My background working with at-risk youth with behavioral problems, individuals dealing with addictions, and incarcerated individuals adjusting to their sentences has strengthened my ability to non-judgmentally believe in people for who they truly are. My goal in coaching is to help you see your potential and believe in yourself. When you believe in your potential and align it with your purpose in life, you are able to take control and make positive changes toward the life you
aspire to live.
Smiling at strangers. Following the rules. Remembering birthdays. Not hitting the snooze button.
Learning from mistakes.
Taking advantage of others to get ahead. Unnecessarily loud TV commercials. Being judgmental
when people are doing their best. Mushrooms or bleu cheese.
Being outside and in green spaces. Planning activities and trips for my family. Snowboarding and
Crossfit.
I’m from a small town in Iowa, now living in Southern California with my husband, toddler, and
dog. My deadlift PR is 255 pounds. I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have four
tattoos.
