Howdy, I am Shannon
I am truly captivated by the human experience and I am a student of time, space, and purpose. I have 14 years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, couples, and families through a relational and behavioral lens.
I have thousands of training hours in behaviorally oriented therapies and the study of the interpersonal relationship, which recognizes that the individual, the relational interchange, and the unit as a whole all contribute to the functionality of any relationship.
I hold the following Master’s degrees: Clinical Psychology, which focuses on individuals and Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, which emphasizes relational dynamics and family systems.
My superpower is advocating for healthy and productive validation of an individual’s experience. By empowering humans to sit with truth, we can reignite compassion and empathy.
From a young age, I have built upon my emotional intelligence to connect with others in a lasting way that generates positivity and real-life corrective experiences. My goal is to uncover the true potential that has been living in you since birth.
As humans, we learn to heal through connection and the ability to sit with ourselves. I tend to gravitate toward making emotional connections to physical ailments and have a sensitivity to the nuances in human behavior. I have received training in several modalities and practices that support an integrated approach to wellness.
Soulmates. Coincidences. Forgiveness. Vibes. Aliens. The idea that the journey is more important than the destination.
Invalidating experiences. Healthy eating on the weekends. Temperatures below 70 degrees. Spiders.
Meeting new humans. Camping at new places. Trying new food. Falling asleep early and waking up with the sun.
I LOVE to sing karaoke. I am left-handed. I was on the show Wipeout. Enneagram number= 9. Aquarius.
